Ok ok ok I'm posting...Jeez, gimme a break!
Well my "project" is going well so I decided to answer a question my dear stalkettes keep asking me. Vampires or Werewolves?
Now personally I have nothing against twilight but it's not exactly original, is it? Read and see...
Personally, and you can relate to this, Everyone could do
with a bit of romance, passion, love or even lust in their lives. Stephanie
Meyer has played on this and this alone to write her books. What am I on about?
Simple. Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn…it’s all the same. She
should have stopped as a trilogy but even if the writer has to suck their
imagination dry, they will keep writing until the demand has stopped, as
demonstrated by author of The Vampire Diaries L.J Smith who is now writing the
8th book in the series. But writers aside, Twilight poses an
interesting concept. An ordinary girl, Isabella Swan, falling in love with
Edward Cullen, the vampire, while having Jacob Black on the side. YES she has
him on the side! Did you READ the books? If you’re a twi-hard you did and you
know she “acts flirty” to get information about the Quilette Legends before she
finds out Edward is a vampire and in the New Moon she depends on him, spends
time with him, basically leads him on and then Edward comes back and he’s
thrown aside. So yes he IS her side well, until he gets imprinted but even then
it has something to do with her (Read the Fourth book, you Twi-Fans will be
after my blood if I give you a spoiler)
But the question on everyone’s lips for the moment seems to
be more important than the movie and storyline itself… What do you think, Team
Edward or Team Jacob?
I’ve said it before (My friends and you readers bear
witness) REAL VAMPIRES DON’T SPARKLE! I mean seriously? I’ve read Bram Stoker,
I’ve seen Underworld, Hellsing is my favourite manga and all the usual stuff.
But really now, Bedazzled vampires? Vampires are supposed to lure you in. their
looks, their grace, their charm and natural smoothness and then they suck you
dry. But I’ve read X-Men I’ve heard about diamond-hard skin but actual diamond
skin? Next time…
And what about werewolves? They’re supposed to be animals!
Not some pet-like thing! You can’t control your metamorphosis and still keep
your clothes on after (Not that I’m complaining…Taylor Lautner without a shirt
is the only reason I bothered watching New moon!) but the name implies the
nature of the creature itself. Have you ever met a cuddly wolf that’s always
warm? I think not. That’s not a werewolf. That’s a dog or a mutated werewolf,
but a dog none the less.
But back to the story. It basically appeals to any and every
teenager that hasn’t got control over their hormones although it DOES target a
more female audience. I mean, basic outline it’s a love story. A girl caught
between loving a vampire and a werewolf. Basically you keep following only if
you want to find out who she ends up with and if she stays human or “converts”
So that's my take on twilight..love it or hate it thats your own thing...
